Modern Intelligence CEO John Dulin Discusses Battlefield AI and the Integrated Warfighter Ecosystem

In a recent conversation with the Integrated Warfighter Ecosystem (IWE), John Dulin, CEO and co-founder of Modern Intelligence, discussed the future of battlefield AI, autonomous systems, and the importance of building technology around the needs of the warfighter.

Modern Intelligence develops Sovereign, an AI platform designed to integrate with unmanned systems across air, land, and maritime environments. John Dulin explained that the company has intentionally focused on AI rather than hardware, allowing Sovereign to integrate across different platforms and technologies.

That approach aligns closely with the IWE. John Dulin highlighted the value of bringing specialized companies together to create integrated capabilities rather than requiring one company to build every part of a solution.

The conversation also explored IWE’s “By the Warfighter, For the Warfighter” philosophy. For Dulin, effective defense technology requires more than technical performance. Developers must listen to warfighters, incorporate their feedback, and build trust as capabilities advance.

Watch the full conversation with John Dulin to learn more about Modern Intelligence, Sovereign, and the future of battlefield AI.
